Short term health insurance may provide you with temporary medical coverage in certain situations. Short term plans tend to be more affordable and can fill in the gaps when traditional plans are not an option. STM’s also provide co-pays, deductibles, and maximum out-of-pocket expense limits. These are set dollar amounts members will be responsible for, rather than just a percentage of every visit you submit claims for. This way you know what you’re paying before actually going to the medical facility, and in the case of a major instance occurring, you’re not stuck with a huge bill.
